This hearty, everyday, medium roast house blend will not disappoint. We developed this blend after much testing, tasting and sampling in 1984!
This is a very fine quality, washed, clean tasting coffee. This coffee has a slight hint of blueberry flavor which naturally occurs in the bean. It’s many people’s favorite specialty grade coffee. A medium roast with a bright finish.
We blend 50/50 the Yirgacheffe above with full bodied Javas yielding this legendary heritage blend developed in the 1920’s. A medium roast combining the single high notes and the fatter medium notes.
This is a hard bean and it takes more slow heat and longer to fully develop in the roaster. The roast is darker allowing for the bean to get fully developed. This longer process yields a full bodied naturally lower acidity coffee. This is not a clean, sweet, single note coffee. The flavor profile is complex, earthy and satisfying. A medium to darker roast.
We roast our Euro Roast House blend darker, yielding a more developed cup…but not the smoky end result you get with the really darker French roasts. This roast color is actually close to the roast color of espresso served in the finest espresso bars in Rome. A medium to darker roast.
This is our best selling espresso blend. It is 100% Arabica coffee and it will yield nice thick crema in the cup. It’s dark enough to cut through the milk of a latte or cappuccino, and still satisfy the coffee taste you crave. Many espresso blends in America are actually closer to a French roast or an Italian roast. There is nothing wrong with using a French roast for espresso, if you like it. We like this blend and roast color for espresso because it is perfectly in-between in roast color, and yields the best of both. Neapolitan espresso works perfectly to make a nice pot of filtered or French press coffee. A medium-darkish roast.
This is our darkest roast. We slow the roaster down and make sure the beans do not burn or char. Burned tasting coffee is the result of not controlling the roast temps and air flow at the end of the roast. Coffee becomes exothermic, which means as it gets darker it starts to generate its own heat. It is critical to control the airflow within the roaster because starving the roast chamber of oxygen allows a slow roast to finish, without allowing the burned profile to develop. Most small shop roasters do not have the level of sophisticated controls necessary allowing that final slow roasting phase. This is a dark roast coffee.
Decaf Coffee
We have our Colombian coffee decaffeinated in Germany. Their process is the best for preserving the taste and body of the coffee bean. This is a slightly darkish medium roast.
This is a very full-bodied dark roast and probably the one that will fool everyone in the room after dinner. The big coffee profile is there, without the jitters.
Flavored Coffee
We flavor our medium house blend with 100% natural vanilla flavoring. You will find the vanilla a pleasant relief from all the artificially flavored coffees on the market.
We use a 100% natural hazelnut flavoring with a hint of coconut. This is a delicious coffee combination.
We use our medium house blend and flavor it with 100% natural pumpkin spice flavoring. This natural flavoring will put a smile on your face. We offer this flavored coffee year-round. Why only have it for the holidays?
